On the 31st December 2024, NCC contract will come to an end, which means our Cape Chacma baboons won't be monitored. This means they will now come into the residential areas. 

Residents who live in areas frequented by baboons will be affected because the baboons will be attracted to these areas unless the authorities adhere to their mandate and address the bin issue.

Without the baboon monitors, our baboons are at a risk of danger like being shot, knocked over and killed by people driving over the speed limit as well as dog induced injuries. 

Signing this petition to save NCC's contract is vital because the baboons and residents who live in the areas frequented by baboons need the NCC rangers to keep the baboons out of the residential areas and keeping them in the areas where they belong.
