We are reaching out you with a concern that surrounds each one of us, our future generations and our neighbouring areas! 

The recent auction notice inviting tenders for various plots across the city of Navi Mumbai (also known as the Flamingo city) 

One of the plots in the list (Plot 2 A, admeasuring 25000+ sq mtrs, located in Sector 54, 56 & 58) is a sensitive piece of land enveloped by mangroves, nestles various species of birds including migratory species such as the famous Flamingoes, acts as a buffer zone between the water body and land parcel. The sensitivity of the plot’s location is validated by the fact that it is classified as CRZ 1. 

This plot also borders the periphery of a large residential complex known by the name of Seawoods Estates (NRI Complex), a habitat known for its active collaboration with nature ever since its inception. 

Given the sensitive location of the plot, the efforts by the residents so far have been to preserve and maintain this piece of land. 

Commercialising this plot will have far reaching effects and would disrupt this much sustained  ecological balance, quaint surroundings and its inhabitants. 

Plots like the one in question have been ideal for the co-existence of humans and living objects that can be seen, felt, appreciated but cannot lend a voice to them being dislocated. 

We solicit your support in joining us in our effort to stop this move. Signing this petition would add strength to our resolve moving us closer to achieving our objective of voicing our dissent towards this planned disruption of nature and its elements.
