Save NAASH Supported Housing! Stop the evictions!

The Issue

250 vulnerable adults with a history of homelessness face eviction from the NAASH-supported housing charity as early as mid-August this year without emergency intervention from West Northamptonshire Council. People who struggle with mental health difficulties, learning difficulties, substance abuse and in many cases years of trauma face returning to rough sleeping with nowhere safe to go.

The council stopped paying the housing element of residents' benefits several months ago. This was after demanding the charity provide evidence for 450 claims within a limited timeframe. Despite efforts by the charity to meet this demand the council have refused to pay for the residents to reside in their accommodation.

We need to act now, as a community, to stop these evictions. Northampton Against Cuts are calling on you to sign this petition and join the campaign!
