Students and their families in Santa Barbara School District want to retain the music and art teachers.

Many educators, including those in music and arts, at Santa Barbara School District may be cut due to alleged budget issues effective in the 2025-26 school year (Action Item Number 2: Reduction of Resolution 2024-25/24 Certificated Reduction in Particular Kinds of Services -Human Resources). 

Saving art and music instruction is important because they are forms of intellectual development, especially for students. Art and music inspires students to achieve their goals through collaboration with one another.  They enrich our children's well-being, brain development, self-esteem, and concentration abilities.

Given the high cost of living in Santa Barbara, families cannot afford private art and music lessons for our children. Please sign this petition to support saving art and music instruction in Santa Barbara. Feel free to add your statements below.
