EVENT INFO:

Monday, Jan 22, 6:30pm  - Montrose TIRZ Meeting at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church (1827 W Alabama St, Havens Center, Houston, TX 77098).  The TIRZ have promised to deliver new streetscape graphics that better show the planned design as well as new traffic analysis of the anticipated impact on the small residential side streets.  Please attend in person if at all possible!  They need to see that we will not give up until changes are made to the design to reflect the overwhelming majority of citizens who do NOT support cutting down every tree on the sides of the street. If desired, you can sign up to speak for up to 3 minutes to express your questions and concerns.

You can register to receive mtg invitations and notices directly from the TIRZ on their website www.montrosehtx.org

Saturday Feb 10, 12 noon - Show Some Love for the Trees Public Art and Protest Rally on Montrose Blvd btw Dallas and W Clay.

In a nod to Montrose's legacy as the birthplace of "yarn bombing" or "yarn graffiti," hand-made knit cozies will be used to adorn some of the endangered trees as a public art display to protest the killing of these trees.

We further invite everyone who attends to bring painted rocks, contributing to a collective display of love and support for the threatened trees. The rocks will be placed around the trees, featuring heartwarming messages and expressions of solidarity.
