Save Might Hoopla and events in Brockwell Park!

Save Might Hoopla and events in Brockwell Park!
The Issue
Sign to protect our culture, our economy, and our right to celebrate in our own community spaces.
Right now, Lambeth’s biggest and most inclusive festivals — including Mighty Hoopla, Wide Awake, and the Lambeth Country Show — are under serious threat.
A small group of well-funded opponents is taking legal action against Lambeth Council, trying to ban these events from going ahead in Brockwell Park and other green spaces. If they succeed, it won’t just silence music — it will shut down jobs, joy, creativity, and community.
We say: enough is enough.
- These events celebrate who we are.
- They fund our parks.
- They bring us together.
- And they belong to all of us — not just the loudest few.
Festivals like Mighty Hoopla aren’t just entertainment — they’re identity.
Mighty Hoopla is Europe’s largest LGBTQ+ music festival, a space of joy, pride and freedom. Events like these generate millions for our local economy, support local artists and businesses, and give thousands of people access to culture on their doorstep.
Without them, Lambeth risks becoming sterile, unaffordable, and lifeless.
We, the young people, the renters, the workers, the small business owners, the creatives — we are the majority. And now it’s time to speak up.
Sign this petition to show that Lambeth stands for culture, community and inclusion — not silence.
We call on Lambeth Council to:
- Defend well-run events in parks from legal attacks
- Stand with our diverse and creative communities
- Let the festivals go ahead!
📣 Say YES to music. YES to joy. YES to our parks.
This is our Lambeth. Let’s get loud.
