For over 24 vears, Mair's Grocery, owned by Wilburn Miller, has stood as a pillar of our neighborhood — a Jamaican grocery and restaurant built with pride, purpose, and love for the people it serves. This will also cripple the surrounding properties within the community.

The owner was never informed.

The community was never asked.

And we will not be ignored.

This isn't just a business. It's a cultural landmark.

It feeds our families in a food desert.

It uplifts Black entrepreneurship.

To remove Mair's Grocery is to gut the heart of this community.

No decision about our neighborhood should happen without us especially when it endangers one of the last remaining anchors we have.

We will not let silence become permission...
