ATTENTION ALL SKATE PARK/COMMUNITY MEMBERS - The city has decided without public input to demolish the Lonsdale Skatepark that holds such a special place in our community. Demolition is scheduled by March 14th. If you ever want the chance to skate here again, sign this petition to stop the immediate demolition of the park. Time is ticking so sign and share as fast as you can to save this extremely important community space that gives so much for so little. Not only does it keep youth and young adults active and healthy, it also has created a truly inclusive community.  This community has grown over the decades and is threatened to be destroyed with the demolition of the park. EVERY SHARE AND SIGNATURE COUNTS. Let’s show the city we care. 

To make matters worse they have no plans to build a replacement until 2025. This will leave locals with no place to call home for many years and will in turn destroy the strong local community we hold so dearly. Less then 2 weeks from the date of demolition local community members were notified by a poster you could miss if you blink. 

Lonsdale is so much more than a skatepark: it’s a place to build community and create life long friendships. LET’S SAVE LONSDALE !
