Lolly “Lovely” the snow leopard, is a Pakistani born Leopard. She was rescued as a cub from a frozen stream after being abandoned by her mother. Luckily her caretaker found her and nursed her back to health. He has remained by her side all these years and is the only person she allows to pet her, and inside her cage to be fed. Their close bond is a reflection of Lolly’s heritage and her connection to Naltar Valley, her home. 

The problem we are facing is that Pakistan has made a deal with Russia to regime Lolly in a Russian zoo. This idea is very disturbing considering she currently lives in a large natural habitat enclosure, with flowing streams, her home. Instead of rectifying the issues at hand due to climate change, by placing her new enclosure a little ways up from Naltar, where she would have lots of snow and perfect temperatures, and her trusted caretaker by her side; Pakistan is deciding to send her to a dingy jail cell in a Russian zoo. Sounds silly? We’ll sign this petition because the WWF agrees she would be much happier in her home country. A new fence a little ways up from Naltar isn’t even difficult for us to manage, however sending her to Russia was decided as the solution. 

I hope you can all see why WWF members and all of us who love Lolly and have loved her since childhood, who have grown up alongside Lolly, are now upset at this prospect. Please sign this petition if you believe Lolly should stay in Pakistan!!! Save Lolly!
