Preventing deaths and providing essential healthcare goes beyond politics. 

Recently cohealth public health advisor and former Greens leader Richard Di Natale spoke to Raf Epstein about the urgent need for a CBD overdose prevention service.

It's been three years since the Victorian Government committed to establish the service. That position is still government policy, and now it's time for them to implement it.

"People are dying and we know that overdose prevention services or supervised injecting rooms save lives," Dr Di Natale told ABC Radio Melbourne.

"We've waited now for three years, and it's time we got it in place and made sure not one more person dies of a preventable cause of death that is drug overdose."
