We, Little Tokyo stakeholders, petition Mayor Eric Garcetti and Councilmember Jose Huizar to save Little Tokyo by ensuring the selection of a community-based developer that will develop First Street North in accordance with the Sustainable Little Tokyo Community Vision. First Street North is a block critical to the past, present, and future of Little Tokyo, and the our community vision includes affordable housing and commercial space, community/cultural space, an expanded Go For Broke National Education Center, and park space to ensure a healthy, equitable, and culturally rich Little Tokyo for generations to come.

We petition Councilmember Huizar and Mayor Garcetti to:

1. Give back First Street North to Little Tokyo to be developed for and by the community.
2. Approve the Go For Broke National Education Center’s ground lease immediately.
