Firstly we are celebrating our first major Campaign milestone
🥳 We have just reached 1100 signatures! Thanks to everyone who has gotten involved so far, leafletted, researched, signed and shared for the campaign!

🫡 Our next rally is on the 16th of October, THIS Thursday, Let's mobilise for the demonstration and strategic planning committee meeting at Lewisham Town Hall SE6 4RU from 5:45-7pm. We will have several people, giving speeches on the day.

😡 Lewisham Council's strategic planning committee will be meeting to give the final decision to approve Phase 1A of the shopping centre. If approved phase 1a will demolish the Boots and Natwest to replace it with 117 luxury flats and 450 co-living beds (A new "housing concept" which replaces house shares with uni style dorms). 0% of these homes will be affordable and future social housing offer which has been promised is likely to be cut as the years go on due to the uncertainty behind the projects current financial viability.

Let us make our voices heard on Thursday the 16th of October and Save Lewisham Shopping Center. The more visible support we have on the thursday, the more likely we are to pressure the council into rejecting the statement.
