Save Langley Vale's Green Belt From Developers!

Save Langley Vale's Green Belt From Developers!
The Issue
Note: Whilst Epsom and Ewell Council does not accept petitions on planning matters, this is still a useful tool to show strength of feeling. Please follow the instructions below to also directly object to the councillors 👇🏻
Langley Vale is more than just a place on the map—it’s our home. I grew up here, with fields and green spaces that form the backdrop of lifelong memories. Now, Fairfax developers have a proposal to build 110 houses on our cherished green belt threatens to change that forever.
This isn’t empty land up for grabs. Our green belt is a living, breathing asset—a rich habitat for wildlife, a vital buffer against urban sprawl, and a sanctuary where families enjoy nature. The land has been carefully farmed for generations, and once it’s built over, its irreplaceable heritage will be lost from our community forever!
It's deeply concerning to see this application, that would lead to increased traffic, noise, and strain on local services such as schools and transport. The green belt exists to maintain the balance between development and preserving the countryside, and risking its loss would have long-lasting consequences for our community.
I urge everyone who cherishes Langley Vale—past, present, and future—to take a stand. Sign this petition and object to the planning to send a clear message to our council: our green belt and our way of life must be protected, ensuring that our village remains a place of natural beauty and strong community spirit.
A vote for this petition is a vote against the developers plan to build on Langley Vale's green belt.
HOW CAN I HELP?
A gofundme has been set up by the Action Group to raise funds for surveys etc to fight against this application. Monies to be used only on this purpose, e.g. enviromental surveys on the land etc
To object directly to the local councillors and planning application (I urge you to do both as the council has to log these as part of the official process) please leave a comment on the planning application portal (link below) and/or email the Planning Committee and local Ward representatives (just copy and paste the emails below. When doing either method please ensure mentioning multiple factors for objection not just the lands status as green belt (although keep this in but this will be under a degree risk of reclassification due to government policy shifts). Damage to character, access to natural space, services etc are also good to mention):
