As we near 1,000 petition supporters, on the heels of today's first CPUC public meeting, we need to employ every means of communicating our concerns to influence the CPUC's decision.
On the last page of the AT&T/CPUC letter that many of us received, there's a description of how the decision process works: A CPUC judge and commissioner consider the proposals and evidence that will inform their decision. Any CPUC commissioner can offer up an alternative decision. The CPUC board will vote upon all decisions at a future public meeting.
The process identifies a critical rulemaking party: the Public Advocates Office. Please get in touch with them today to learn more about their role, how they will "advocate for the public," and what we need to provide them to help them in this effort. Call them at 1 (415) 703-1584, or, email them at PublicAdvocatesOffice@cpuc.ca.gov or visit their website at PublicAdvocates.cpuc.ca.gov.
