Thanks to you, we're just a few signatures away from 8,000 and we're so grateful for your support! Last Tuesday, the Laguna Beach City Council approved an appropriation of up to $500,000 for services related to the possible closure.
This news comes as the Hospital Task Force continues their good work. Liaisons sent a letter to the Attorney General on the City’s behalf last month. That letter included critical information from a physician about a previous affiliation agreement. That agreement may require Providence to provide emergency room services in Laguna Beach through late 2034. See the letter here:

Co-sponsoring legislation for a standalone ER and a micro hospital study are also in the works. Stay tuned.
Please share this petition to Facebook groups, Instagram stories, NextDoor, WhatsApp, and in texts and emails. It makes a difference. Our coastal communities need a 24/7 ER with beds that can accept ambulances from hospitals on diversion as well as our own fire department transports. Thank you!
