Thanks to your strong support for Laguna Beach’s Emergency Room, we've gotten 4,533 signatures in just 72 days! Without input from the community, healthcare giant Providence told city leaders January 27th and the community June 9th that instead of an acute care hospital, it’ll be offering an urgent care with expanded outpatient services.

We don’t need an urgent care. We need an emergency room. In a recent City-sponsored poll, 88% of those polled said it’s important that there is 24/7 local emergency room in Laguna Beach.

It's a critical regional resource for: Aliso Viejo, Capo Beach, Crystal Cove, Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, and other communities. This ER serves all communities--anyone can sign. Please continue to like, comment and share the link to the petition on your socials. Speak during public comment at the beginning of your city council meetings. 

If this Emergency Room closes, only TWO will be left in ALL of Southern Orange County! Elimination of the 23 ER beds may overwhelm the County EMS system that's already stressed. It only takes one bad flu season. Let local, regional and state leaders know that this proposal is unacceptable.  

Our south OC towns welcome millions of people every year from all over the globe. The Superbowl is coming to LA in 2027, the Summer Olympic Games in 2028, and a new harbor in Dana Point is being built now. Providing immediate, on-site, lifesaving care for our communities and visitors is essential. Thank you!
