Since 2021, Kroger Delivery has provided an invaluable service to residents of The Villages, Fl and surrounding communities. However, on November 18, 2025, Kroger customers in the area received devastating news, Kroger is closing the Groveland Fulfillment Center, effectively cutting the community off from the service effective February 1, 2026. Once the service ends, customers in The Villages, many of whom are elderly and/or disabled and rely on the service to maintain their independence, will no longer have viable access to basic necessities and may have to pay exorbitant prices for alternatives.
