Today, I received communication from AASD administration that in 2020 the crosswalk on Capital and Northbreeze was to be painted with diagonal yellow strips across the entire crosswalk.  This painting, although on a list of goals for Ferber, was never completed. 

This is the FIRST time the district administration has communicated with me acknowledging this intersection has been marked a safety hazard and safety improvements were put in place.  I have been advocating all school year sending emails and making phone calls.  This plan was developed in 2020.  I can't help but wonder why the painting hasn't been done, who's job it is to follow up and why are they just communicating about this now after I've been asking for safety measures all year? 

I will continue to secure signatures in order to apply pressure to the City to improve safety measures ASAP, update all school plans by following through on three year old plans, and hold traffic accountable for reckless driving in school zones in ALL school zones in AASD.
