Kiddies Corner Preschool, Malin is more than a childcare setting, it is a vital part of our community.  

For many families, this preschool provides:
- accessible, early years education within close proximity to their homes.  
- It supports our children’s early development, 
- provides children with a sense of community and belonging,  
- helps families balance work and home life, 
- brings children together in a safe familiar space.
- Assists with the transition to their local primary school

The proposed eviction of the preschool from the parish building, which has housed this community, not for profit, charity registered pre school for 38 years would have a detrimental, profound and lasting impact on local families and the wider community.  Closing the preschool would disrupt young children at a crucial stage, place logistic and emotional strain on families, and remove an essential local service. Many parents would be forced to travel further, if they could secure an alternative preschool, or reduce their working hours - placing additional logistic, financial and emotional strain on households — impacts that ripple across the whole community. 

Currently, the Playschool has no alternative location nor the financial resources to relocate. This means the education and social development of our little ones are under threat. We risk losing a treasured community institution unless immediate action is taken.

Losing our preschool means losing a place of connection, support, and belonging.

We call on the parish and decision-makers to work with the community to stop this eviction, protect our children’s wellbeing, and keep this preschool open!
