Sign Here to Demand Gov. Bevin Stop Gambling with the Healthcare of Nearly Half a Million Kentuckians

The Issue

After months of secret meetings and backroom deals, Governor Bevin has revealed his plan to dismantle healthcare for hundreds of thousands of Kentuckians. The proposed waiver which became public yesterday declares war on Kentucky’s families and outlines a plan to take away health benefits, increase costs and institute unwieldy requirements in order for families to keep their coverage.

Gov. Bevin is gambling with the healthcare of nearly half a million Kentuckians who are on expanded Medicaid, including those that make up the very fabric of our communities like construction workers, nurses’ aides, substitute teachers, and our friends and family.

He has publicly stated that if the federal government refuses to accept these draconian changes, he will end Medicaid expansion and kick hundreds of thousands of working Kentuckians off of healthcare.

Gov. Bevin is choosing to disrupt Kentucky’s expanded Medicaid system which is affordable, sustainable, and provides healthcare to thousands of families. it is up to Gov. Bevin himself to decide whether to terminate expansion, not the federal government – and the accountability for that decision will lie on his shoulders.

Sign your name here to demand that Governor Bevin stop gambling with our health and welfare, and allow hundreds of thousands of Kentuckians to retain their right to quality affordable healthcare.

Additionally, please make your voice heard at one of the following public hearings discussing the Medicaid waiver:
