Hi everyone, we've achieved another great milestone: over 1,000 people have registered their support and signed our petition!

We alerted Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga to the situation, and today (23 June) they're meeting Auckland Council's Heritage team to discuss it. We hope this results in the closure / demolition option being taken off the table - we'll let you know the outcome.

But we've still got a lot of work ahead to convince Auckland Council and Devonport-Takapuna Local Board this unique heritage is worth saving and restoring for all to enjoy.

Thanks so much for your support so far, and please do keep sharing our petition with your own networks to help us build a strong case to save and protect Kennedy Park's irreplaceable WWII history.
