We, the citizens of Karachi, have reached our breaking point.
For decades, we have watched our beloved city, the economic beating heart of Pakistan, be systematically plundered, neglected, and turned into a graveyard by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), the Sindh Government, and a heavily politicized, hopelessly incompetent Sindh Police.
We are not just losing our wealth or our infrastructure; we are losing our children, our brothers, our sisters, and our futures. The blood of Karachi’s citizens is on the hands of the provincial government. Today, we declare a resounding VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE in the PPP, the Sindh Government, and the Sindh Police. We demand that Karachi be immediately granted the status of a Separate Province.
How many more mothers must bury their children before the state wakes up? We are forced to mourn a new tragedy every single day:
Shahzeb Khan: A vibrant young student gunned down in cold blood on our streets, a chilling reminder of how feudal arrogance and unchecked power have been allowed to massacre our youth while the police look the other way.
Mustafa Amir: Brutally kidnapped, murdered, and his body set ablaze by those connected to the untouchable elite, a horrifying testament to the absolute collapse of law and order.
Mir Raza: A 25-year-old aspiring entrepreneur who mysteriously went missing, only to be found dead with a gunshot wound in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. His death remains clouded in forensic inconsistencies and investigative failures.
Hafiz Usama Ayub: A young Hafiz-i-Quran and the only son of his parents, mercilessly shot dead in North Karachi over a mere mobile phone. He was killed because criminals know the Sindh Police will not stop them.
Ibrahim: An innocent 3-year-old boy whose life was snuffed out in the darkest, most terrifying way imaginable. Falling into an open KMC manhole near NIPA. It took 15 hours to find his little body. This was not an accident; this was administrative murder by civic authorities who cannot even be bothered to cover the gutters on our streets.
These are not isolated incidents. They are the horrific symptoms of a disease that has infected every tier of the Sindh Government. Whether it is a bullet from a street mugger, a target killing by a feudal lord, or an open gutter left gaping by the Karachi Municipal Corporation, the establishment's apathy is killing us.
Why a Separate Province?
The current provincial setup treats Karachi not as a home to millions of hardworking citizens, but as a colony to be ruthlessly exploited. We generate the lion's share of the country’s revenue, yet we are deprived of basic human rights: safe drinking water, secure streets, functional public transport, and the right to simply return home alive. The Sindh Police operates as a private security force for the political elite, leaving ordinary Karachiites completely defenseless against armed mafias and street criminals.
We cannot and will not wait for another tragedy. We will not wait for another Ibrahim to be swallowed by the earth, or another Usama to be gunned down for a piece of plastic.
Our Demands:
Immediate Federal Intervention: We urge the Federal Government and the Supreme Court to acknowledge the total breakdown of constitutional governance and law enforcement in Karachi.
Accountability: A sweeping, impartial purge and restructuring of the Sindh Police, completely removing political influence and holding officers accountable for the soaring street crime and unresolved murders.
Provincial Autonomy for Karachi: The immediate initiation of a constitutional process to declare Karachi a separate province. We demand the right to govern ourselves, manage our own resources, and build a police force that actually protects its citizens.
Karachi is bleeding to death. If the state does not step in now, there will be nothing left to save.
