Hello all! 

So, some of you may be wondering why I am keeping this petition open even though the road salt issue seems to be solved (last update I talked about how KCMO is already doing everything they can, they are not ignoring methods of action on purpose). 

I am keeping this petition open because 1) this platform is a good way to communicate to you all and 2)the  intricacies of the road salt situation is not fully understood.

I am continuing to do this independent study in order to ask good questions to KC officials and engineers, and I plan to monitor local streams/the MO River using this free salt watch kit that comes in the mail. (https://www.iwla.org/water/stream-monitoring/salt-watch It's free, fun, and helps add water quality data to a national database! I encourage you all to do it as well.
