Save Kailash Temple of Ellora, the largest monolithic structure in the world!
The Issue
The KAILASH cave temple at Ellora in Maharashtra was carved out of a single mountain over a period of more than 200 years. No one knows the exact date of its construction but all agree that it has existed much before the advent of modern machinery that even today can't achieve what the artisans of Kailash have. It is the largest monolithic structure on the planet & it is a matter of pride that it is in INDIA!
Oct 3rd, 2015: A big rock crashed down into the northeastern corner of the Kailash complex. A warning call? 3 visitors were slightly hurt and almost no damage happened to the Kailash structure BUT Many more rocks are split and loose.. When will they crash and on whom? No one can predict.
This petition urges the PMO, ASI & all lovers of history and archaeology to explore and revive what this monument has been preserving for India and all of mankind. Sign the petition and help save this rare wonder of the ancient world!!
