Being a concerned citizen and practicing advocate in Mysore and a   person interested in protecting environment and wildlife, I am deeply troubled by the ongoing unlawful activities at the Kabini backwater of Nagarahole and Bandipura national forests. Despite clear restrictions, resorts are cropping up within these protected areas — a direct violation of the 100-meter HFL/Buffer Zone/No construction rule. These transgressions are carried out by individuals with high-ranking positions in politics and business.

This issue extends beyond the buffer zone violation. These individuals have also disregarded the Eco-Sensitive Zone (ESZ) and Tiger Reserve notifications. Sadly, this is happening despite clear directions from the Apex court and the National Green Tribunal (NGT). These infractions are not isolated incidents. They reflect a growing disregard for the rulings that protect our crucial natural ecosystems.

Environmentalists have reported these issues multiple times. However, the government has yet to take substantial action. This inert response, coupled with the ongoing violations of these protected zones, has grave implications for the regional biodiversity. Now more than ever, our forests and wildlife need us to be their voice.

This is not just about a piece of land; it's about our rich biodiversity, the survival of threatened species, and the future of our planet. I ask you to join me in this pursuit of justice - not just for our natural world but for our future generations. It is our fundamental constitutional duty to protect our nature from exploitation. We owe it to our future generations to give them a planet that thrives, not one that is reeling from damage.

Let's urge the Central government,  Hon'ble Supreme court and the National Green Tribunal to investigate on these illegality and take immediate action against these unlawful developments. It's time we rally together to defend our forests.

ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಹಿತದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಕಬಿನಿ ನದಿಯ ದಡದಲ್ಲಿ 100 ಮೀಟರ್ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ನಿಯಮ ಇದ್ದರು ಸಹ ಬಂಡಿಪುರ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಗರಹೊಳೆ ಕಾಡಿನ ಪರಿಸರ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮ ವಲಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಹುಲಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿತ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಜಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ಒತ್ತುವರಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ರೆಸಾರ್ಟ್, ಕ್ಲಬ್, ಬಾರ್, ಪಬ್ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳನ್ನು  ಭ್ರಷ್ಟ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕೃತ್ಯ ಗಂಬೀರ ಪ್ರಕರಣವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನಮ್ಮ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣು ಕಾಣದಂತಾಗಿ , ಕಿವಿ ಕೇಳಿಸುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ , ಇದರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಲಕ್ವಾ ಸಹ ಹೊಡೆದಿರುತ್ತದೆ..... ಆದಕಾರಣ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಮತ್ತು ಹಸಿರು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಕರಣದ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯಲು ನಾನು ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಿಸರವಾದಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದು... ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹಕಾರ ಸಹ ಕೋರುತ್ತೇನೆ...
