Save Jujutsu Kaisen and their animators from MAPPAs insane working conditions!

The Issue

We demand that MAPPA provide better working conditions for their animators working on Jujutsu Kaisen. We want the animators to be able to do their best on the series and keep putting out high-quality animations and directions that make Jujutsu Kaisen great.

The animators can’t do that if they are overworked, not given a proper time frame, and on the verge of quitting. Animators were required to sign an NDA to not disclose their working conditions in MAPPA, but even so, they have started to voice their disappointment with the studio and their horrible working conditions. Just imagine how bad it had to be for them to start voicing out in the place of an NDA.

This wave of outcry was triggered in light of recent news that MAPPA just denied their animators a request to delay the series for them to properly work on it. Leading to speculations that from Episode 18 onwards, the quality of the animation will drop, or in the worst case if animators start quitting, Jujutsu Kaisen may be cancelled. The latter outcome may even affect another anime, Chainsaw Man, as the team that works on Jujutsu Kaisen also works on that anime.

For all the blood sweat and tears these animators have poured into this amazing series from day one, just so we can enjoy it in all its glory, we as the fans of Jujutsu Kaisen must come together to seek justice for the animators. They love the series as much as we do and want to put in as much as they can to make it great. But it’s realistically not possible anymore for them. We need to make MAPPA come to their senses and give them better working conditions and time frames.

We demand 3 things:
- A needed delay for the next few episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen. To allow the animators time to put out great work
- Better working conditions for the animators. So they can always be at their best and bring their best to the series
- Realistic time frames for animating a series from here on out. To give the animators some breathing room and prevent burnout.

By signing:
- You, as a viewer and fan, are ok with Jujutsu Kaisen being delayed for a while. As you understand great animation needs time and you are willing to wait for higher quality.
- You support better working conditions for the animators who have been giving their all for the series and is
- You are upset with how the animators are being treated by MAPPA and demand that MAPPA change and be better.

We have to act now before Jujutsu Kaisen and its animators are lost. Let’s save the people behind Jujutsu Kaisen and the anime!

- Started by a fan with much love for the anime, hoping that we can be the voice of the animators and make a change in their industry.
