Hello I’m Jonathan Rede and this is my story. On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, after my wrestling match I was made aware of a threat to my school. I was afraid and stayed home on Thursday. Friday during my wrestling match I came across a disturbing post and with the recent threat to my school, I decided to repost because I care about my school and friends and I wanted everyone to be aware and safe. I NEVER threatened the school or anyone. Like I said, I just wanted everyone to be safe. Well, now it all back fired and I am being accused of a threat/post that I did not create. I was given the maximum suspension of 9 days and now I have to go to court where the administration wants to suspend me indefinitely and restrict me from Verrado and any other Agua Fría schools for a whole year. Being an I.E.P. Student, I will not have access to the help offered by this special program on line and I will most likely fail. I have worked so hard throughout my high school years here at Verrado so I can graduate on time, and now, the administration wants to take that away from me, just like that. Next week, I have to go to court and face the administration and the judge. I  DID NOTHING WRONG. Please, I am asking for your help and sign this petition so I can return back to Verrado High School to finish the rest of my senior year and graduate with all my friends.
