My grandma has worked at Garden City High School for 29 years, dedicating her life to serving nutritious meals to students. Now, her job and the jobs of other hardworking lunch ladies are at risk. These women are more than just employees; they are part of our community's fabric. They deserve to keep their jobs and receive fair pay for their invaluable service.

The school cafeteria staff play a crucial role in ensuring that students receive healthy meals, which directly impacts their ability to learn and thrive academically. Cutting these positions would not only affect the livelihoods of these dedicated workers but also compromise the quality of food service provided to our children and keep the bonds these children have with our lunch ladies.
