SAVE JOB CORPS NATION WIDE

The Issue

Job Corps is a critical resource for young Americans looking to contribute to the workforce.

Sadly, the Donald Trump administration appears to be eliminating the program entirely. By June 30, just about every Job Corps office will need to close — including the Delaware Valley center where I work. The news is heartbreaking.

Over the past 60 years, Job Corps has provided education and skills training to 3+ million low-income youths between 16 and 24 years old.

I have personally seen teenagers with zero economic prospects turn their lives around in my center. Together, we have helped hundreds of young people earn their high school diploma, learn an in-demand vocation, or transition to a career with a future. Closure would mean more unemployment and more youths being unable to finish their schooling. This is bad for our students, bad for the economy, bad for our country.

But Job Corps is about more than education — it also offers a support system. We are like a close-knit family who helps each other learn, grow, and succeed in society.

I have been trying my hardest to advocate for our students nationwide. This petition is one of our last hopes.

We need your help saving Job Corps. Please sign now to show Congress that Job Corps must be kept open and running. Stop the June 30 closures.

Also, please call your congressman, write a letter, send an email, anything you can do to show your support!

Time is running out to save Job Corps. Please help this petition to grow and reach those who can save our youths hopes and dreams of tomorrow.
