Save Jimberlung the rainforest dingo
The Issue
SAVE JIMBERLUNG the Rainforest Dingo🙏🏼
We have tried to work with the community, but unfortunately many residents did not believe us that Jimberling is a dingo.
Many residents played with him fed him and now the other residents have called the council and the council have called the trapper.
The traps have been set💔
We need you to email scenic rim and call them and explain to them that coexistence is possible with an informed community!!

Jimberlung, the beloved rainforest dingo of our community, is in grave danger. Due to a lack of awareness and understanding, many residents have unknowingly interacted with him, leading to a situation where the local council has called for his capture. The traps have been set, and Jimberlung's future hangs in the balance.
Jimberlung is not just any dingo; he is a symbol of our local ecosystem and a testament to the unique wildlife that enriches our Scenic Rim. Contrary to perceptions, coexisting with Jimberlung is possible. Dingo advocacy organizations and wildlife experts emphasize that dingoes can live peacefully alongside humans when communities are informed and proper guidelines are followed.
We believe in fostering a community that embraces its natural inhabitants and lives in harmony with them. It's crucial to educate residents about the importance of dingoes and how they contribute to the ecological health of our region. Moreover, adopting coexistence strategies, such as securing trash, supervising pets, and keeping a safe distance from Jimberlung, will ensure both his safety and ours.
We urge the Scenic Rim Regional Council to halt the trapping of Jimberlung and instead focus on developing and implementing a community education program about coexisting with dingoes. By doing so, we'll not only save Jimberlung but also pave the way for a more wildlife-friendly community.
Please join us in calling the Scenic Rim Council at (07) 5540 5111 or emailing them at mail@scenicrim.qld.gov.au to express your support for Jimberlung and propose a peaceful coexistence plan. Your voice matters in making a difference for Jimberlung and preserving the rich biodiversity of our region.
