I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to sign the petition and advocate for this program.

Composting is an important service that helps reduce waste and supports our environmental goals, and I understand the concerns residents have about its elimination.

At the same time, Jersey City is facing a significant fiscal crisis, and I will need to review the budget and any proposed amendments before making a decision.

I look forward to continuing these conversations as the budget process moves forward.
