I am personally moved by a place that exists for the love of animals - Jelly's Place Animal Rescue. Located in  San Pablo, Richmond, CA, this rescue center has become a sanctuary for animals at risk of euthanasia. It has saved countless lives by offering them a safe haven and care until they find their forever homes. Besides rescuing, Jelly's Place helps the community in keeping their animals by supporting them during hard times. Its existence is a testament to our shared commitment to kindness and compassion.

However, Jelly's Place now is under threat and potentially faces closure. If this happens, the fate of so many animals will hang in the balance – animals that would otherwise be euthanized due to overcrowded shelters. According to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), 670,000 dogs and 860,000 cats are euthanized each year across the United States. This would mean more animals fall victim to this grim statistic without the vital lifeline that Jelly's Place extends to them.
