News Update: Iowans woke up on the 4th of July grateful that the Iowa City Fire Department successfully extinguished a fire on the roof of the State Historical Society of Iowa at 402 Iowa. Ave. Fortunately, the contents of the building were unharmed. Debris from the roof was removed and a temporary patch was installed to make everything water tight.
