We are in the homestretch. Again! When we were in the homestretch back in 2013, we thought we were about to get a real recall of fire-prone Dangerous Jeeps; however, all we got was a faux recall of a faux trailer hitch. Did you know that it isn't even a complete unit that can actually tow heavy loads in addition to not really protecting the tank in a crash? It's been a long couple of years fighting for justice but the USDOT held a hearing in Washington and I was one of the 6 public speakers. There was an overwhelming section of the room of Chrysler "suits." This was their last chance to apologize, especially since the father of 17-year-old Skyler (who burned to death in a Jeep) was there in person as one of the 6 public speakers. No apologies from Chrysler. Just blah blah blah wah wah wah don't punish us. But that's okay. I think their evil callousness was felt throughout the room. USDOT ended on the note that they will do something before the end of July but want to hear feedback from you first. USDOT is accepting comments through July 17th, even though some areas of the docket say June 23rd (Deadline is really July 17th). Go to this link to comment: http://www.regulations.gov/index.jsp#!documentDetail;D=NHTSA-2015-0047-0001 . Please take a moment of your time and leave a comment. Please. If you are extra-oriented to writing, please also consider going to this page and and send a Letter to the Editor of the Washington Post. Scroll down to see links to send in your OpEd or OpEssay to the Washington Post. This must be done soon - before July 17th so that the USDOT may be influenced from that angle as well before making their decision the end of July. Please. I believe this is it. I think this might be over this month. http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/how-to-send-a-letter-to-the-editor/2015/04/22/771453b6-e93b-11e4-9a6a-c1ab95a0600b_story.html Let our voices be heard!
