Please join us in saving Hope 'N Wellness, a peer recovery business in Everett, WA, by signing this petition or writing a letter to the Everett City Council. Hope 'N Wellness is an integral part of the Everett community providing essential services, such as peer counseling, substance use recovery support, application assistance (housing, jobs, govt benefits). However, Hope 'N Wellness has been ordered vacate their location on Rucker Ave by the end of Oct 2024 due to an Everett Municipal Code that states social services cannot be on the ground floor leading to a sidewalk in that zone. Being located in that TOD and metro area is intentional to ensure that those individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health disability, physical disability, and substance-use disorder-related disability can access the services provided. Everett has been discriminating against this population for years with no-sit-no-lie ordinances, harassment, and definitions such as these that actively create barriers to disabled individuals trying to reach help and regain stability.
