We vehemently oppose the designation of Willoughby Ave. and Hart Street, spanning from Nostrand to Marcy Ave., as a Historic District.

The landmarking of these blocks would significantly impede the community's growth and compromise the integrity of the buildings.

Establishing a landmark district would necessitate special permits for any exterior alterations, a procedure that could take months to secure and potentially lead to increased property taxes.

As a community committed to nurturing our children and addressing housing needs, we firmly reject the proposal to designate these blocks as a historic district.

The time to act is now before the LPC votes to calendar this petition for landmarking.
