Meant to post this update sooner, to let you know that the Town of Hempstead Landmark Preservation Commission found sufficient evidence in our presentation to arrange a hearing pertaining to the Gouin-Lawrence-Graber House. A hearing date will be set as soon as possible after the New Year without delay.

We are working on adding supporting information at this time. Please continue to pass this petition on towards landmarking of, what we believe to be a culturally, historically, and architecturally significant house, that is the heart and center of Bellmore Village. A bit about the architect, Ronald M. Peck posted here.

Our narrative highlights the architectural significance of Gouin-Lawrence-Graber House and tells the stories of the three doctors who resided there, their role in the bygone era of local family general practitioners as well as each of their unique family contributions within the Bellmore community which is of historic and cultural importance.

Once a Landmark Preservation hearing date has been confirmed, we will post it here. We encourage all community members to attend the hearing in support. Together we can make a difference in preserving the history and important architectural treasures of our community.
