Dear supporters - Today the Heritage Advisory Committee held their emergency meeting, and recommended heritage status for 1245 Edward Street! I'm posting a link to the meeting below, it's about 37 minutes and only deals with the house.

This pauses any alterations on the property for 120 days as soon as Dal is served notice, which they will be, very soon, possibly even today. 

What a relief coming one day after the demolition permit was posted on what would have been Susan Sapp's 97th birthday. Now we hope City Council will accept the report of their staff and committee, and vote to confirm the decision to add this historic and graceful home to the roster of the special properties of our city that are worth preserving.

I'm so grateful for your support! Keep sharing the petition and speaking up for this dear old house. Let's hope Dal make the right choice to hang the doors back up, put up those mouldings and restore this property to its glory.
