In just three days’ time, the sale of 428 of among the most significant artworks from Hertfordshire’s Schools Art Loan Collection is due to start.

The image shows Bob and Roberta Smith's fantastic latest message to David Williams, Leader of Hertfordshire County Council - 'David Williams  Hartford's Art in Schools Program was to inspire children  not for you to sell.'

Celebrated artists Bob and Roberta Smith RA OBE and Jessica Voorsanger have also sent an open letter (below) to the Secretary of State for Education and Number 10 Downing Street calling on them to prevent the sale of these artworks.

Their letter includes support for this cause from Christopher Le Brun, President of the Royal Academy.
