In a shocking move, Congress has included new language in the government funding bill that will ban all hemp-derived wellness products nationwide — products that millions of Americans rely on for relief, recovery, and balance in their daily lives.

This backdoor attack on hemp would devastate an entire American industry built on innovation, transparency, and responsible use. It would close thousands of small businesses, put farmers out of work, and strip access from veterans, first responders, and everyday Americans who use hemp products for wellness and quality of life — especially in states where medical or adult-use cannabis remains illegal.

This  wellness industry now supports tens of thousands of American jobs and offers millions of adults a safer, plant-based alternative to alcohol and pharmaceuticals.

The proposed new restrictions do nothing to protect consumers — they only serve Big Alcohol and pharmaceutical interests trying to eliminate competition. History has shown that prohibition doesn’t make people safer — it drives products underground, creates unregulated black markets, and makes it harder for consumers to know what’s in the products they’re using.

We have one year to change the tide.

This petition calls on Congress and the White House to remove or override the anti-hemp language in the government funding bill and to support national regulation — not prohibition — of hemp-derived products.
