The Issue

🐴 Petition to Save Hayes Farm and the Green Belt Land Behind Bromley Football Club
To: Bromley Council Planning Committee
From: Concerned Residents of Bromley

We, the undersigned, strongly oppose the proposed housing development on the green belt land at Hayes Farm and the fields behind Bromley Football Club.

This land is a vital part of our community — providing open space, a haven for wildlife, and peaceful grazing for local horses. Many of these horses are elderly and have lived happily on this land for years. If the fields are taken for development, they will lose their home. Sadly, some are too old to travel and may have to be put to sleep.

Beyond this heartbreaking loss, the proposed development would put unacceptable pressure on our local area:

Schools in Bromley are already at full capacity, with no room to accommodate additional pupils.
Roads around Hayes and the football club are already congested, and more housing will make traffic and parking problems far worse.
Residents will lose their views of the countryside, along with the open green space that makes our area special.
Once green belt land is built on, it is lost forever — taking with it the beauty, wildlife, and community heritage that define Bromley.
We urge Bromley Council to reject any plans to build on Hayes Farm or the fields behind Bromley Football Club, and to uphold the protection of Bromley’s green belt land.

Please sign this petition to protect our horses, our countryside, and the character of Bromley for future generations.
