Save the Harlem Garage! Doors Will Close June 28 Without Your Help!

The Issue

Co-Working is thriving in NYC! Harlem got its very own co-working space in late 2013 when the Harlem Garage opened on West 118th between popular restaurant row on Frederick Douglas Blvd and Manhattan Ave. Less than three years into its existence, Harlem Garage is shutting down on June 28, 2016. Despite published plans by Mayor Bloomberg and the NYCEDC, which in early 2013 awarded Artimus Construction and Micro Office funds and other incentives to help small businesses thrive in Harlem, this space has not lived up to its potential. Former and current member companies believe that the community needs this vital commercial space. We are asking Artimus to provide members with a six month period to organize a long term plan and new parent company structure. We appreciate your support!  Please use this hashtag to help us spread the word: #saveharlemgarage
