We at @fund_grenfell_va are eternally grateful for our friends at The Muse for their recent article on the course cuts, and the highlight for VA students in particular. Having this level of visibility will be great for the cause and for morale, and knowing that other people are fighting this fight along side us is really refreshing. All this support following the response that VA students received from the Grenfell Campus Students Union, is really nice to hear.
We appreciate that the GCSU President is putting in the work to have these difficult conversations with administration, but it still does not address the root cause, and dismisses the issues that students are having.
We want to thank the community for coming together to support the Visual Arts program, and ask that you continue to share and support students at Grenfell, at MUN, and the Arts community as a whole. It's not an easy time to be a student, or a professor, but if we don't fight for what we believe in, what we deserve, people will learn that they can take it from us.
Our next move is to continue to reach out to students, staff, and professors, to understand how everyone is being effected, and how to best fix this issue. We hope for open communication going forward with GCSU, MUNSU, The Muse, School Administration, the government, and our community. Ultimately, we are here because we want this school to be a better place for everyone, and we want the same opportunities that other schools offer for similar tuition prices. Grenfell has a unique opportunity in Newfoundland to be fostering young artist's creativity, in a uniquely beautiful place, and we don't think that it's living up to it's potential.

Keep fighting the good fight, and thank you again!
