Today, June 23rd, 2023, Paramount Plus unfairly cancelled Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, an incredible show that took place 4 years before the original movie. That meant more to us than anything that has came out this year, the music, the characters, the LGBTQ+ representation, the amazing cast and crew, this show was EVERYTHING to us and not only did Paramount Plus cancel it, but they’re also completely taking it off the app, the website, off of all their platforms. Annabel Oakes, Alethea Jones and a whole list of hard working creators/executive producers/director put all of their hard work into this show and they had the audacity to take it away from us!! The whole cast including Marisa Davila, Cheyenne Isabel Wells, Ari Notartomaso, Tricia Fukuhara, Shanel Bailey, Madison Thompson and everyone else worked their asses off on this show, they were the most amazing cast and you took that away from us!! So for any other networks out there, please save ROTPL!!! Please save our show Netflix, Hulu, Max, Peacock, ANYONE SAVE OUR SHOW. SAVE THIS WONDERFUL WORK OF ART THAT DESERVES MORE LIFE, THAT DESERVES MORE THAN ONE SEASON. Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies is not just a musical, it’s one of the greatest shows that came out this year!! So please for the cast, crew, writers and all the fans out there, give us a season 2 and beyond!! We are not giving up on this show and neither should you, and to Paramount Plus, a big SCREW YOU.
