The Issue

My dear friends, the Giacalone family, have been serving our community with their family-owned deli and pork store for 36 long, delicious years in the town of Brookhaven. They have touched the hearts of the locals with their unique personal touch to every item they dish out. Our community boldly boasts that this deli provides the best food in town. It has become an irreplaceable part of multiple generations' lives who have patronized this store for years.

Today, they're facing an unjust threat. The landlords, in a sketchy deal with the owner of the South Shore Press and Colonial Youth, are mercilessly forcing them out of their livelihoods, and in the process, risking a vital piece of our community's soul. This is not just about a business; it is about protecting our community spirit and preserving the legacy of an establishment that has been embedded in our fabric for decades. They aren’t just a local business, they are family!

We come together as a united community in a firm stand against this gravely unjust action, demanding an intervention to stop what is basically an eviction. This is not merely a plea for a deli; it is a plea for justice and for the preservation of our tight-knit community.

It is crucial that we rally together, in support of Giacalone's, to ensure that our favorite local deli won't be unjustly removed from our lives. The friendly faces, the Thanksgiving pies, the Christmas dinners. Please, add your voice to our cause by signing this petition. Help us save Giacalone's. Your support can make all the difference.
