For 57 years, the McDonald’s at 359 Agler Road has been more than a fast-food restaurant. It has been a gathering place, a landmark, and a piece of Gahanna’s history.

Generations of families celebrated birthdays, stopped in after little league games, shared late night conversations, and created memories within its walls.

We understand the need for modernization, but progress does not have to erase the past. We urge the franchise owners and McDonald’s Corporation to explore alternatives that preserve the character and history of this beloved location, whether through adaptive reuse, incorporation of original design elements, or a permanent tribute within the new restaurant.

 Gahanna deserves growth that respects its history.
