Chef Julio, the heart and soul of Gaby's, has been threatened with the shutdown of his restaurant simply because some foreign residents do not appreciate the traditional Mexican music that fills the air. Music embodies the spirit and soul of the country, connecting generations and communities with its joyful melodies and heartfelt lyrics. 

Moreover, we must address the broader issue of gentrification and the influx of American and Canadian residents into Mexico. Mexican locals have been more than welcoming of cultural exchange and diversity, it should not come at the expense of displacing local businesses and erasing the cultural identity of communities. As an immigrant in this country, I refuse to stand idly by as cultural intolerance threatens to silence the beautiful sounds of Mexico.

By signing this petition, we demand that the authorities recognize the cultural significance of Gaby's Restaurant and reject any attempts to silence its music or shut down its operations. We call for the protection of Puerto Vallarta's cultural heritage and the rights of its residents to celebrate and preserve their traditions.
