The political campaign to save Freeview is hotting up. 17 Labour MPs have signed an open letter to the Prime Minister expressing their concern that the Government seems to be preparing to scrap Freeview and force the whole UK population to pay for expensive broadband contracts in order to continue watching their TVs. The MPs have pointed out that such a switch off would disproportionally affect older and low income households and would have political implications for Labour.
