A road improvement required by DELDOT was required to accommodate the traffic added by the development of Fort DuPont, including access by RVs into the (former) State Park sold to private owner Blue Water Development. Disgraced FDRPC Executive Director Jeffrey Randol (the same who facilitated the sale of protected parklands) proposed only one plan for this improvement: a dangerous roundabout placed between two bridges.

A meeting was held yesterday, 2/16/22 and it was decided that the roundabout would be scrapped.  No word from Blue Water Development yet if this will change or delay their plans to open a private RV resort on (former) state park land.  MANY THANKS to all those dedicated to keeping residents and visitors safe.
