Petition updateSave Florida's Sand and Beaches from Being Stolen from America's Ability to Walk FL ShoresFreeing Florida's Beaches ⛱️ Trip to Florida’s Capital in Tallahassee

One of the most important things I learned as I visited our state Capital in Tallahassee, Florida with Legislator Dr. Joel Rudman.

"A word to the wise is enough."
--Plautus

Often as we work towards a goal we want affirmation  we are on the right path and headed in the right direction. However from my life experience there are not little tid bits of joy affirming we are on the right path.
But while I was in Tallahassee I met one of our Florida Legislators who serves in central Florida well away from our challenges in Walton County Florida. She shared "I don't know who is doing your public relations to promote free beaches in all of Florida but it's working."

I am reminded of perhaps the greatest orators of all time Winston  Churchill who proclaimed
"never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy."

Reposting the below. Let's roll!!

One thing is for sure - if we do nothing to work towards "returning customary use to our beaches,"  customary use will not be returned.
As John prepares to take time from his life to travel to Tallahassee, to speak up for us, I have sent my emails and I am preparing to mail letters to a hand full of Florida leaders. I know when we put energy to the group cause, it also helps John gain energy, momentum and influence.
I also know many of us are feeling as if everything we do falls on deaf ears. However, we must approach this with:
"We are in it to win it attitude!"
I commit myself to one year of sending emails and letters. In a year, I will reassess the situation and see if I still feel it is worthy of my time and energy.
I know all of us can commit to one year of helping - in whatever way we feel is beneficial. When the apathy and negative thoughts arise, we will remind ourselves we are committed to one year.
I have folders on my computer and also manila folders with all of the emails and addresses I need in order to quickly access them. This has saved me a lot of time and helps me remain committed to the work!
Thank you everyone for your efforts. Please continue to work towards returning customary use for the generations to come!
